A Historic Escape, The Norwich Inn and Spa

A scenic tree-lined Lane in Norwich Connecticut leads to the elegant The Spa at Norwich Inn, an august red brick Georgian style Manor built in 1929. It immediately it became a haven for the rich and famous and drew luminaries such as George Bernard Shaw, Charles Laughton, Frank Sinatra and the prince of Wales. Originally conceived as a civic project by the residence of Norwich. The popular inn past through succession of owners and fell on bad times after World War II when it served as a holding tank for the local police department. Eventually it was acquired by the Mashantucket Pequot tribal nation in 1994. Today The Spa at Norwich Inn combines the best aspects of a boutique hotel  and an historic Inn, with a day spa for treatments and fitness, along with a venue for vacations, celebrations or doing business, a place that defines Health and Wellness.
